Basic Life Support and AED ½ day

For all of our First Aid Courses, candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend the full session to be eligible for assessment.

A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. A person’s chance of survival falls by about 10%* for each minute that passes without defibrillation. The risk of death can be reduced if you have a defibrillator available and know how to use it.

This course includes Basic Life Support training and the use of AED machine.This course is certificated for 3 years

Suitable for people 18 years and over who do not have a current first aid certificate.

Behaviours which ‘challenge’ others

‘Challenging behaviour’ is how we talk about a range of behaviours which some people may display to get their needs met. The aim of this course is to consider how staff can work with people who may be aggressive or violent; and how to manage this behaviour.

It is important that learners understanding the causes and effects of bipolar disorder and attitudes towards it.

COSHH

COSHH stands for ‘Control of Substances Hazardous to Health’ and under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002, employers need to either prevent or reduce their workers’ exposure to substances that are hazardous to their health.
